Calling all Preemies

Did you know that November 17th is National Prematurity Awareness Day. 1 in 8 babies is born too soon and often, very sick. I love one of those babies! Well, it is!

We did a few auctions back in April to raise money for the March of Dimes, and I think we may do that again next year.

The March of Dimes is an amazing organization whose goal is to one day have all babies born healthy. Full term. Make the NICU a thing of the past. Go check them out and see how you can help!

Ready for some football?

Wow! All I can say is thank you. We have been extremely busy this fall season. We have been creating custom tutus, appliques, flip flops and bows for our local high school to support the LISD Foundation, which puts money back into the classrooms. However, we are not limited to just doing stuff for the Longview Lobos! Need some inspiration? Take a look at http://www.kedarlindesigns.etsy.com/ to get an idea of what we can offer you. We are not limited to what is in our shop. If you want something to show your team spirit, let us know. We may not be able to creat the logo but a team name works just as well. Back to School

Well...it's that time of year again, the time of year kids dread and parents love. It's BACK TO SCHOOL. We have been busy this last week selling Green and White items for Longview ISD, in Longview, Texas. 30% of sales is being donated to the LISD Foundation, which puts money back into the classrooms.

We love creating orders for team spirit. Please send us your order before we get super busy. These are such fun things to wear to games and on spirit day to show your team spirit. Pictures will be posted tomorrow.

Wow! Our March of Dimes auctions were a huge success! We raised $131! Thank you so much to those who bid.

Also, we have started offering stacked boutique bows. Here are just a couple of examples, but we can make any combination!

And remember, we aren't just for little girls! We do make shirts for little boys. Well, in fact, we aren't just for children either. We can make adult flip flops and shirts! The cost will be a little higher due to the amount of materials we would need to use.

If you have a design in mind, let us know, and we will work our hardest to create that one of a kind look just for you!

Also, if you would like us to make a shirt or flip flops, and you provide them, the cost will be lower. We can deliver or set up a time to meet with you so that you don't have to pay for shipping. This is valid only in the Longview area.

Auctions have been set!

As part of our way to help contribute to the March of Dimes, we are doing four auctions with all the money bid going to the March of Dimes.

The auctions are as follows:

1) a tutu in colors of choice, with matching flip flops and korker bow
2) a tutu and applique shirt to match. We will work with customer on design.
3) A brown t-shirt with John Deere applique theme that says "Got Dirt"
4) a baseball applique with applique name on shirt color of choice. Name up to 6 letters.

Auctions 1 & 2 have a starting bid of $15 and auctions 3 & 4 start at $10.

To place your bid, go to the auction photo album on our Facebook fan page and leave your bid as a comment.

The auction will run from today, April 11th through April 25th. You will receive your items during the first week of May.

Flip Flops

Flip Flops, get your flip flops! We are decorating flip flops in tulle to make tutus for your feet, or choose from ribbon wrapped with korker bow accents. Choose your colors. These are great for showing off team spirit at sporting events. These are also great for camp. Want something fun for a sorority? Get your sorority colors! Toddler sizes are $10.00 and all others are $12.50. Prices do not include tax. And remember, 25% of all orders placed in April will go to benefit March of Dimes.

Benefiting the March of Dimes

One of our partners, Kim, is very passionate about the March of Dimes. Why? Because her daughter was premature, but was blessed not to have to have any of the research from the March of Dimes, but she knows they would have been there if needed. So because they were blessed, they want to help other families who need the March of Dimes.

In an effort to raise money, we at K&E Darlin Designs have decided that for the month of April, 25% of EVERY sale will go towards the March of Dimes. Also, we are going to hold 4 auctions with ALL the money from those going to the March of Dimes.

Two of the auctions will be for girls and two will be for boys. We are currently still trying to figure out what to include in the auctions, but whatever it is will be super cute and custom made for the winners!

So if you've been thinking about purchasing something from us, and even if you haven't but want to, please wait until April(unless it is a time crunch order.) If you don't want to purchase but want to donate, please click on the March of Dimes widget on the right side of the screen under the "About Me" section.

NEW PRODUCT!

You see the cute little pair of flip flops beside the tutu? Well, those are our newest product. They were created by our newest partner, Lisa. Aren't they just the cutest things?!

The flip flops are available in any size, even adults, and color. You can purchase the flip flops alone for $12.50, the tutu alone is $15, and the set is $25 for a savings of $2.50.

Custom shirts

Here is a preview of a couple of our super cute custom shirts!

This is just an example of a custom "name shirt." This one is obviously for Easter, but we can do just the name or any holiday. These shirts are available in a wide variety to sizes and blue, pink, red, or white t-shirts or white or pink onesies. This shirt is priced at $14.50.



Here we have a custom designed cupcake. It is made from 3 different fabrics to create a one of a kind cupcake! This is available in sizes 3-6 month to 4T and is priced at $10.50. You can get a pink or white onesies or pink or red t-shirts.

Initial Applique shirts

Something else we are working on is Initial Applique shirts. This is a simple 4" letter in any choice of colors. Tell us what color shirt you are looking for, a pattern possibility and color scheme and we will create your one of a kind look. These can even be for adults - of course we would use bigger than a 4" letter. We can even do names up to 6 - 7 letters and mix and match fabrics. The initial and name shirts/onesies will range from $9.00 to $15.00 depending on number of fabrics used and the length of name.

I figured I would show off some of our products!

Here we have our new double layer, extra fluffy tutu! It is available in any color combination and any size starting at $18.50.

This is just an example of our new "tie" shirts! The tie can be done in any color and any pattern! The cost is $10.50 for short sleeve and $12 for long.

Here is an example of our mini korkers. Again, these are available in any color combination and any pattern of ribbon. The mini korkers are sold in sets of 2, which is perfect for piggy tails! They are $6.50 a set.

This is our normal size korker bow. Like the mini ones, they can be made in any color and pattern of ribbon! These range from $4.95 to $5.25 depending on how big and how many korkers you want in the bow. We also have matching headbands to go with any bow for just $1 more.

This is our custom designed cupcake applique shirt! We can make almost any applique you can think of! This particular shirt is $12.

A little background:

Kim and Lauren started this business based on the idea that the world needed to be a little more cute!

Kim is 26 and has been married to Chad for almost 4 years. She has a 14 month old daughter named Kyndall. You can find her personal blog at Kyndall's Smile.

Lauren is 34 and has been married to Chris for almost 13 years. She has an 11 year old daughter, Emily, a 9 year old son, Alex, an 8 year old son, Landon, and a 3 year old son, Austin.
